By incorporating multiple disciplines, and my interest in light, language and meditation, my practice explores the relationship between humanity and nature. My work is as much about the performance for the camera, as it is about the still image that I create. In constructing each image I play with light coming through windows and using it to make a dramatic effect on an interior space. In this vein my work references classic styles of painting, in terms of color and form. I am interested in how we create meaning through imagery, and that is why photography is the core of my practice, every thing I construct or perform is set up for the camera. It is a one-point perspective of what I create and the result is a beautiful image that documents, as well as becomes the piece. I envision my work as first and foremost being photographic representations of what we cant see but can feel.
